Race over 40 Man-Made and Natural Obstacles including the MOGOLLON RIM WALL – 12 foot high wall made out of pine logs. Get help from your buddy, you will need it.
Tonto Natural Bridge is located in Pine Canyon, a tributary of East Verde River north of Payson.
The Tonto Natural Bridge is formed of travertine making it unique among natural bridges found in the West. Beneath the arch of the bridge are several large caves with stalactites hanging from the roof and stalagmites rising from the floor.
The authentic replica of the Zane Grey Cabin is a tribute to the Father of the Western Novel who penned more than 60 books (13 in the Rim Country) and hundreds of short stories about the great American West.
In the geographic center of Arizona lies the “Rim Country,” so named by the overwhelming presence of the Mogollon Rim. The Rim is an escarpment 7,000 feet plus that presents a dramatic drop of over 2000 feet to the communities below. It is covered in forest and grass land, and has been the home to Native Americans, cowboys, ranchers, farmers, hunters, fishermen, and nature lovers for centuries. It is a land of extreme beauty, natural endowments, and historical significance.
The Payson Area Trails System (PATS) consists of almost 40 miles of USFS trails on the periphery of Payson interconnected with detached pathways and routes adjacent to Payson neighborhoods. The Payson Packers is a local group that meets every week and hikes all over the Rim Country. They do different levels of hiking so everyone is invited.
Come enjoy a unique quilting getaway in the World’s largest Ponderosa Pine Forest of North Central Arizona called the “Rim Country.” We will have a collection of southwest, wearable art and fabric art from across the country.

The Payson Airport is a gateway for tourists and business visitors to the Rim Country. The airport is designed to accommodate piston engine aircraft, turboprop aircraft, and small business jet aircraft. The asphalt-paved runway is 5,504 feet long and 75 feet wide. There is a 50 x 50 feet concrete helipad.
Payson Food Truck Festival
A variety of 25 different food trucks will fill the area of Green Valley Park. Enjoy this festival atmosphere with live bands, beer garden, life size jenga, a corn hole tournament, fly a kite or toss around the football – this event is for you so have FUN!!!
